Really impressed with City today. I honestly think we’ve hit the jackpot with the 4 we’ve made. I don’t see the need for Donnarumma.

Reijnders looks like a blend of Yaya/Gundo β€” a huge player. I’m astounded at how cheap we got him.

Tbf I seen a few suggest that Ait-Nouri could play RB if he was inverting like cancelo.

If we don’t need a HG right-back, maybe Mukasa takes a HG slot? And then that gives us more options

Agree on all. Rico is the sort of player that’s a bit niche β€” all the other parts have to be working for him to thrive. Personally I’d cash in. Then go all in for Acheampong/Livramento.

This could go really well or really not. Lewis, Ederson, Savinho out. Donnarumma, Rodrygo, full-back in. I’m not against selling Lewis β€” I like him as a player but I don’t feel as though he will ever get past his physical limitations.

Honestly think Semenyo would be an excellent pick-up for City: very strong, athletic, press-resistant, good 1v1, direct. Coming into his prime.

Similar situation to last summer it seems.

#PredictPep

Trafford, Ait-Nouri, Stones, Khusanov, Nunes, Nico G, Reijnders, Marmoush, Foden, Bobb, Haaland.

Not sure on the full briefing on Ederson (I’ll put him in if the briefs say he is available for selection).

Think he’s going but would need to bring in a HG right-back wouldn’t we. Livramento? I’d go for Acheampong at Chelsea if we can’t get him.

FPL here we go. Gameweek 1. Only Reijnders makes the cut from City. Marmoush was close though.

Yeah it’s looking a lot better really happy with the new signings. Hoping Rodrygo gets done. I don’t think we will be fully up to speed until Rodri is back to his best; but we look far better than last season.

Ake might go too and if so a LCB comes in you’d think.

It’s looking good, next summer β€” Akanji, Stones, Gundo, Kova, Ederson go.

New right-back in: Reis comes back, Nypan possibly, new GK, new RB, maybe a slot for Wharton.

12.08.2025 08:24 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Not too hung up about Savinho leaving to be honest. Good talent yes, end product isn’t there yet. If we get Β£60m I’d happily reinvest into a ready-made top-tier replacement like Rodrygo. Ignore all the reports trying to bring him down Rodrygo is a top tier player not yet at his peak.

Older report. He’s off I reckon.

Would loved to join

12.08.2025 08:16 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Would be ludicrous to let him go this early into his City career.

07.07.2025 19:46 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah Nico is the best midfielder other than Rodri we have out of possesion. He should be important to the future of this project.

07.07.2025 19:44 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

That’s me back on BlueSky after a few months of a hiatus. Are any Blues still on here or has everyone fell back into X/Twitter now?

07.07.2025 19:42 β€” πŸ‘ 13    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 4    πŸ“Œ 0

I don’t think there is any substance in these reports of Nico G leaving. It’s likely agent-led, but that being said it’s still worrying there is even rumours of this so early into his City career. He should be someone to build the project around. I’d sell Kova, Gundo, Bernardo all ahead of Nico.

Surprised McAtee has had so little football. Great cameo.

Hopefully we see some news in terms of transfers for City soon.

Expect McAtee may go. Replaced by Echeverri.

2/3 more in. I personally think Robinson is a no-brainer. I’d love Matheus Cunha too but doubtful of his availability.

Ricci or Ederson seem most likely in central midfield.

No we will come good. Need a rebuild though.

Martin Zubimendi.
A thread 🧡 πŸ‘‡

That’s was enjoyable compiling the thread on my insights on Zubimendi combined with some data. If you enjoyed it please like and retweet.

I personally think Zubimendi is a top-tier midfielder and would be a brilliant Rodri replacement and play alongside him.

20.12.2024 23:51 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

For me, Zubimendi is the kind of midfielder every coach dreams ofβ€”one who reads the game like a book, who makes everyone around him better. Whether he’s defending, progressing, or simply controlling the tempo, he’s always in the right place at the right time

20.12.2024 23:51 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

He’s not the player who will score 15 goals a season; he’s the one who makes sure the structure of the team is solid, the transitions are smooth, and the forwards have the tools they need to succeed.

20.12.2024 23:51 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

He’s the type of player who understands when to press, when to hold back, and when to pick his battles. Zubimendi doesn’t have the flashiest numbers in terms of goals and assists, but that’s not his role.

20.12.2024 23:51 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Where I am most impressed, however, is his maturity in the game. With only 0.14 yellow cards per 90 and no red cards, you can see he plays with a level head, always in control of his emotions. It’s something you want in a midfield anchor.
