It's one of those things where I want to show the conversation, but being in IT and having seen wireshark logs, it's just lines of queries and results. But if I did "Hey you, Program 1, what's up?" That'd be really out of sorts. It's also from a popular game so I'm trying to find how they did it.

Next writing challenge: Depict two near sentient computer programs talking to each other, one trying to get info from the other, without it being completely boring. Difficulty: Can't use current networking or modern OS/programming languages.

I hated it. It felt insulting and goofy and just a glut of Lucas saying "Look what I couldn't do in '77." I haven't watched it a ton since. There are parts I like, but those are all design choices or world building ideas. I actually just wanted to watch The Matrix again after leaving the theater.

I will occasionally go back and watch the trailer and remember how excited I was for it.
