I had weight loss surgery 20 years ago, and this was a big topic then. Numerous cases where people found out their SO's more or less liked having someone depend on them for their sense of self-worth, and disturbing long-held power dynamics. Many relationships don't survive.

I had to break down and make an acoustic cover of the Julee Cruise song "Falling" from the soundtrack. It was all so good.

If you played an instrument back in high school and stopped: we are in a golden age of decent cheap instruments.

The guitars are better, the amps are better. The pedals are cheaper, the wind instruments are actually instruments and not just shaped like them, etc.
