To be clear, that’s the cost so far.
There will be restitution to be paid out. The people they’ve deported will need to be located and brought back with recompense. There’s also the cost of prosecution and execution of the 3,000 ICE members who took part and the cost of jailing them in the meantime.

The ICE surge in Minnesota cost $280M to detain 4k people. Of those- only 30 were accused of violent crimes.

$9 million per capture of the "worst of the worst".
