I assume they will never come back. But I set digital to-do list reminders for everything. I list the book, the person, and set the reminder for six months from then so I can ask text and them if they’ve had time to read it. Then it stays there forever on the list as a personal reminder. 😂

And not just Friends! I actually liked Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip! At my Catholic HS run by nuns, in a class on being a good Christian wife/mother, I only remember them showing us Fools Rush In as an example of how to not do the six stages of a relationship. (Still no idea what they are.)

Serving as an intern at Dianne Feinstein’s LA office for three summers in the early 2000s had an incredible impact on me. While we only got to see her once in a while, she inspired remarkable people and assembled a wonderful team—I learned a great deal from them.

Went birdwatching this morning and now I’m struggling to identify this bird. eBird says it’s an orange-crowned warbler but I’m trying to convince myself it isn’t just a palm warbler. (Photo taken at Green-wood Cemetery, Brooklyn today.) Birders, please weigh in!
