Where do you draw the line? Do you have examples for any recent "throwaway games"?
Interesting read - especially with the recent development towards smaller games.
What are your thoughts on even smaller "micro games"?

I sincerely invite you to come and say hi and play our game #potatopunk at the #devcom expo area :D
It runs well, is fun, exciting and extra smooth on the big screen!
@biasinteractive.bsky.social
There are also like a ton of other nice games on display here around us that are worth a play, too!

3D assets by Arthur and I did the level design and lighting
Oh and there is a hand-drawn and animated intro cutscene as well!!
IT LOOKS SO NICE - I am amazed by myself and my brothers work like I cannot explain

This was a blast. #godot and #blender as power-tools to bring our vision of a beautiful 3D-first person platformer to life - playable in Browser!!!

Sooooo after a "one-in-20-years" power outage in my area yesterday back to modelling loops for the #GMTKjam again!! My brother and I are working on a reverse Indiana Jones adventure - you need to return the "Loop of Life" back to its ancient resting place. Lets see how that turns out ^^
01.08.2025 14:03 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A new monster just spawned-in on my cursed sepulchre - summer evenings playing #ageofsigmar in the garden ^^ and we thought these terrain pieces are unstable so you cannot end a move ON them...

Did some fun #gamejam work again and really nailed my 3D gradient workflow hehe. I am super excited to check out all the other submissions now :D

I rarely use Unity - I love this output Log thing in the bottom tho. It randomly gives crazy cool loading screen tips.
I mean of course. Who thought they could just pass in objects there are already persistent? Pathetic.
I am doing 3D art here and do not know what that evens means.
I always miss #screenshotsaturday so this one is now my official first late screenshot
#gamejam game with my mates at RaucherPauseGames.
Hand placed collisions - I don't know, there might be a faster way but I enjoy the silence of placing boxes.
Will be available on @itch.io later today #indie
I cannot wait for three levels and trains in this one

The space belt elevators are mental - not to mention the dimensions here AND the throughput update on the space belts - my brain hurts a bit and I have too little blue paint...

My impression, prior count - about 80% of games that I own I also played.

@tobsprgames.bsky.social Oh no. Oh no .. I had it in my calendar and forgot about it. Oh goodbye cruel world - the shapez updated just dropped.
Ciao. I am gone now. For some time.

What a timing - we have a public playable for the #dayofthepotato!
There were so many ideas and some of them made it into systems and features for you to try! Looking forward to new problems to solve next week haha

Jamming in room 404 was always part of my favourite game dev activities.
It doesn't have a name yet but a lot of cool art haha. Developed a fancy style for this one ^^
Ready to play next week around Sunday for the #tgccoreblazerjam

MS Recall's screenshotting everything is a (not) great example of exactly why.
So, Signal took steps to protect everyone using Signal on Windows 11 from Recall's privacy invasion.๐

Dark Ages first impressions: I like Eternal more - until chapter five. I still miss my Castle Doom tho.
Very interesting how the core design has changed and somehow made it back to the original.

Someone googled "cool sci-fi graphic design" and just what - screenshot - ctrl-v into painter, export done? And no one noticed throughout the whole pipeline?
Ouch...
Great small read with some pointers to nice further bigger reads on architecture :)
Watching a lot of @stevelee.bsky.social level design videos on YouTube has really reignited my passion for these things

It's so ultra rigid and maybe a bit uneven here and there - that's what you get if a game designer and a lawyer are building a shelf haha
