I’ve never seen so many blooms on my bush lily! That’s one happy little plant!

The milder weather is bringing out more people & dogs on hiking trails, along with critters like this trio of wild turkeys. Today I’m thankful for my close knit circle who consistently wrap their arms around me, literally & figuratively.

I've since learned there is such a thing as dry cottage cheese. And people have come through with a lot of tips (tiramisu and cheese cake made with cottage cheese!). Not ready to give up on it yet. Will do some research and trial and error.

I’m making an effort to get my day started with more protein. Cottage cheese is full of it but I’m having trouble getting past the consistency. It feels like I’ve thrown up in my mouth!

Counted 11 #mergansers on the Thames River while on my walk today! DYK - a merganser on land is likely stranded. Its legs are so far back on its body that it can't gain enough speed to take off. It needs a runway of water. The things you learn from #volunteering at @salthavenwildlife.bsky.social.

I think I've found my long-lost mini-me! Last fall I spotted a girl's face on a promo banner (3rd photo) and thought, oh my god, that's a younger me! Today I finally did the comparison and definitely think there's a resemblance. Do you see it too or am I imagining it?

I love Mother Nature's rewards. While battling very strong winds on a walk, my gut told me to stop and look around. I did and sitting there in a tree above me was a stunning red tailed hawk. Turns out, I was on the right path. Gratitude in abundance today. How about you? #gratitude #naturewalk

The cardinals, chickadees, blue jays, and geese were all out in abundance today. Can’t forget that gorgeous sunshine. Hope you all got a chance to get out into the fresh air on this January day. It so helps restore the soul.
