How does everyone feel about the Peerless trial?

I like this idea as well. Had we done a more prolonged volume resuscitation I think this would have been the better option to avoid any possible increased lactate production from the bicarb.

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in aggressive management and intervention. I think early palliative care discussions are really important for the patient, their family, and for us. The idea of zentensive care fits well with this.

Less is more.

Why not bicarb-d5?

That's exactly what we did. Bicarb gtt as a bridge to HD.

Ultimately the patient received HD.

We don't have this available to us and constantly get push back about ordering EEGs, especially 24hr ones. This would be a game changer.
