This is "Myaku-Myaku", the mascot of the EXPO in Japan(Osaka) last year, and he's an (official) shapeshifter who's made out of cells and water!
Probably the 1st amorphous character I know to be used as a mascot at an international event :P

Screencaps of Ollie the slime monster in VRChat. Their design has been slightly tweaked, their upper body is more streamlined, making their shape less humanoid and a bit more animal-like.

Tweaking a design by just pulling around polygons first is probably a really dipshit way to do it but idk I think it worked out well
