I was dogsitting and housesitting for a couple who had Netflix. I was bored and isolated and newly Christian. Thought I was in for a cliché feel-good film with maybe some murder. The sudden graphic child gore scene was far too much.

These are older now but, over 10 years ago I was asked to create some loose digital paintings for what was to be a CG Flight of Dragons remake. These were for the trailer, specifically. Unfortunately, the project got cancelled, and so it goes, but it was briefly a dream come true for me.

🫂 I lost my first cat a few months after my dad died due to a household accident. It felt like my world was ending, and I was so angry and out of place. I was 15. I'm sure it hits so much harder when you're an adult and there seems to be no rest. But I promise the pain won't be so crushing someday.

I radioed to make sure they would fix my time as I was clocking out; despite me saying something about it the manager on duty completely forgot.
