I have just been going through Bluesky to help get a starter pack going of all club and AFL media/journalists profiles. Here is what i have so far. Let me know of other accounts I should add.

DP3 is excited to get stuck in to '25 π₯
Wasn't sure how to make our debut on Bluesky.
We'll just leave you with pre-season Mark Mercuri π₯
can't knock Deans credentials or qualifications for the spot, jsut worried about his motivations and intentions with it.
hope its nothing.
he was involved with other clubs most of the time, didn't really look to return when he moved jobs though and had no involvement since leaving the AFL system.
just sceptical, not out on him yet.
nothing wrong with his presentation or credentials, its the timing and motivation i've got some questions about.
close friend and relationship with Sheedy and Hird just after Kevin got outed and James is getting back into footy, convenient i'll call it.
I'll say i'm *heavily* sceptical of Dean Solomans motivations for joining the board, a Sheedy affiliate who didn't do or say anything for the club during its struggling period and pops up in a board election year with minimal warning.
lot of red flags, hope he proves me wrong but i'm concerned.
got the Wingspan for it π

imagine both of them requested a trade, should be getting significant draft compensation back at minimum though for 2 of our most talented young players.
especially given Amber is under contract.
geez, stitch up to have him in Pies kit for the night

05.12.2024 00:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Voted on the board election.
Full respect to Solly but i'd like to see him put in some work without a title and be in and around the footy club like Andrew Welsh did ahead of his push.
Weston just no chance im buying that koolaid sorry. no way.
i don't like the timing, thats my biggest issue with it, if he truly did care about the state of the club and what it needed theres more hands on and better spots for a guy like Solly.
feels like theres no reason to change, its guys sensing a shifting tide and trying to latch on or worse stop it.
Worth a read Dons Fans. Great article by Jake Niall π #GoDons

depends who it is, its very easy for one person to be a beligerent disruptor and make it hard to get anything done.
02.12.2024 04:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0the actual question is what do they offer thats tangible, what have they said they'll strive for that is actually solid, impactful and tangible in their messaging.
right now its nothing, if Solly wanted to be involved and help on the football side he could have, we have spots.
its also a question of what success even is? does scraping into finals count? winning one and getting bounced? or actually taking time to rebuild from the ground up and actual form a young group and core that can consistently push for top 4/a flag?
02.12.2024 01:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0genuinely curious as to why people feel that we need more 'change' at Essendon.
10 draftees in 2 years, close to half the list has been turned over, improved training standards, a new coach, List Manager, CEO and President AND even more assets acquired moving forward.
what more is there to change?
Weston certainly, SOlly i would like to give the benefit of the doubt but remains to be seen.
neither wanted anything to do with the club til now so im... questioning their motivation for sure
think if you change things without even letting the current actions manifest you're just going from 0.5 back to zero.
10 draftees in 2 years with a new List Manager, even greater list turnover than that and what was horendous training standards pre-scott.
can't be much more significant change.
it feels like they want to re-establish the regime of the past 20 years for sure, Hird would be the big one they want to push for.
very much a 'given, not earned' vibe with them and i hate the concept of it. runs directly counter to how Brad Scott has ran things so far and not in a good way.
haven't spoken much on the board challenges cos i wanted to hear the new candidates out.
after doing so Weston particulary REEKS of a typical boys club member, more interested in aggrandising the past than any effort to return to a power club.
Stay the course, more upheval gets us nowhere.
