My parents and Auntie will be coming from Australia so I am conscious of having a rare opportunity to explain the entire history of the Chartist movement within Leeds

The professional magician was much more impressive than our amateur option, which is my partner's brother after 5 beers.

Projected uptake of 'radical history walking tours' conducted by the bride and groom on their respective areas of scholarly expertise still being debated

Oh this is good to know!! We had no idea that there was so much to actually think about with wedding planning.

Went to two wedding fayres in one day and discovered that it's possible to hire a wedding magician.

If you want to support your local indie cinema, just donate a tenner to them rather than sit through Wuthering Heights for two hours.

A bit of a long shot, but I’m looking to pay someone to photograph some archival documents for me in Amsterdam in the next 6 months. If you know any PhD students based there etc who might be interested pls do send me a message. #historians #paidresearcher

Spent this Valentine's day at the John Atkinson Grimshaw show at @leedsartgallery.bsky.social. I'm a sucker for his moonscapes to begin with but loved this exhibition and the relationship he had to the city. Maybe another research project for the never-ending list...
