I made a video yesterday about the Thunder's free throw frustrations, some stats about how bad things have been, context within this season, how historically low their free throw rate is and a few ways I feel like OKC could potentially improve at getting to the line.

🧵4/4 Golden State had 4 different plays that resulted in an and-1 in the second half.

The boxscore will say that the Thunder shot 26 free throws to the Warriors 21 on the night, but that doesn't provide all of the context for this game.

🧵3/4 OKC shot 10 free throws before the tech; the rest of the game, they took 8 until the Warriors were forced into intentional fouls where another 8 came in the last 26 seconds of the 4th

Post tech the foul distribution was OKC 15 & the Warriors with 8 (+ the 4 intentional fouls to end the game)

🧵2/4 The score at the time was Thunder 54 to the Warriors 35 and OKC had 6 fouls committed to GSW's 12.

After that tech, the Thunder were charged with 10 of the next 12 fouls called.

🧵1/4 Tonight was another night that displayed just how frustrating the Thunder's free throw situation has been this season.

Draymond Green was called for a technical with 5:40 left in the second quarter.

Why are the Thunder so frustrated over free throws?

OKC this season is on pace for a franchise record low and an NBA historically low free throw rate season, but why? I watched the tape to try to find out why the Thunder are having such a hard time getting to the line.
