They're all so terrified of what an egalitarian Britain would mean for the pile of gold they sleep on.

I cannot wait for the insights on this! He's going to:

1. Sample some local street food.
2. Ride a train.
3. Visit a temple.
4. Not mention the pogroms that the serving Prime Minister presided over.
5. Smile at some elephants.
6. Top up his kids' private school fees.
7. Say "India is changing".

Can't wait until we're all using a different social media platform, to be honest. I'm absolutely sick to death of these immoral creeps playing such a massive part in our lives.

A lot of people have been criticising Flanagan for wanting to adapt The Mist but the Darabont version came out in 2007, which was nearly 20 years ago. Also, I think there's a lot that needs to be said about how American communities rally around an extremists during a crisis, especially post 2016.

A human being ordered these strikes, US military surveillance is obsessively paranoid and has mapped places out for decades, the WP is owned by an AI peddling billionnaire, and US/Israel always bomb for maximum murder. Don't do advertising for these machines by buying into the myth of their agency.

I love that years of every facet of bluesky’s management, development, and moderation have been full of dizzying fuck ups, outright lying, poor communication, and antagonism against its most prolific, early adopters, and they have the gall to say we’re conspiracy brained about them.

Yeah, it's so weird that the people you all talk about with open disdain think some of your suspension decisions might be less than objective.

Work at the Home Office? Dress for evil. Look at her, goose stepping with pride as she deports her own relatives for the hope of a favourable Daily Mail headline.

Iran-Contra happened 40 years ago! It *literally* involved the US selling weapons to... Iran.

So, the argument is we were funding the armed forces of a country we were at war with?

This is the point. If your vaunted trillion-dollar military can't get through a few days of airstrikes because you've consolidated the industrial base so badly, then you don't have a trillion-dollar military, you just have contractors in No. Virginia getting rich

Why
β€ͺ@why.bsky.team‬
Until December of last year I was using LLMs as fancy autocomplete for coding. It was nice for scaffolding out boilerplate, or giving me a gut check on some things, or banging out some boring routine stuff.

In the past two months Claude has written about 99% of my code. Things are changing. Fast

the online safety act is censoring the guardian

there's no way to read this article unless you install a vpn

the problem with the osa: all any tech platform has to do is mark something as 'adult content' and it automatically gets censored

this puts censorship powers in the hands of big tech

YouGov latest poll. A reminder that over the past year Reform's polling is usually overestimating the final vote in by-elections whereas the Green's polling underestimates it. With everything being so fucking awful you don't need to doomerise about this...enjoy the bar chart, even for a moment.

According to the Institute for Policy Studies, just daily operations for naval and aircraft deployment for the Iran war are costing nearly $60 million a day β€” and this doesn’t include munitions and other costs. The amount is enough to fund Medicaid for 4 million Americans each day.
