I have finished fixing a lot of my issues with my previous few drawings! I personally felt a lot of imposter syndrome for Jack-O', but now I feel quite strongly about it after adjusting her hair and the halo behind her. No more muddy hair color we embrace bright bubblegum hair now 😌

I still can't get over how terrible my handwriting is... you can definitely tell I use a good amount of stabilization on my pen when I draw haha

Maybe it's time to actually practice better handwriting. If I do more of these I'm definitely gonna need it....

That also could be me being inexperienced with that kind of extremely detailed work (most likely in fact), but idk. I think it would be fun to lean into the "less is more" mentality.

A lot of my personal art inspirations draw quite elaborate color work, but to be honest, I think Hornet and Lace would have looked worse IF I over rendered them both. The result I have now I think looks incredible for what it is and it fits my style very well. I kinda adore the drawing as is 😅

I think a big takeaway from my previous drawing is I want to embrace simplicity more. When I was painting Hornet, I wanted to find a way to spice her up before I eventually said "wait this is good actually why stress?"

I think I am gonna go back on a few drawings and do just that. Jack-O especially
