Very sad to hear the news of Al Trautwig’s passing. Al elevated our @nycmarathon broadcasts with his enthusiasm and gravitas over many years, incl when Fred Lebow ran his race battling cancer in ‘94, the world came to run & honor NYC in 2001, & ‘07 double weekend with the men’s USA Olympic trials.
