Visited the Denver Botanical Gardens today in honor of spring

Sunday morning used to be very different. In the 1980s. Before I had kids. I woke up, read the paper in bed, went to brunch, I watched football.

I don't know much about Hungary except goulash and the Gabor sisters. Maybe I'd better study up - seems like we might be going that direction.

I was feeling depressed so I took myself to see a silly movie, Love Hurts. I was the only one in the theater. It was violent in a way that Quinten Tarantino would like but also sweet and funny. Critics hate it but it was enough to change my mood.

I'm finding it hard to get out of bed in the morning. Every day brings news of more cruelty, injustice and fear.

I had a dream that I traveled to visit my oldest daughter. We bought tickets for a concert. I waited all day for her, cleaning her apartment. When it was time to go to the concert she told me she was too tired and went into her bedroom and locked the door. 🙁

I am going dark today - no social media, TV or radio. Do whatever you need to do to take care of yourselves. I'll see you tomorrow 🤗

This might be the last night I can sleep well for the next 4 years. Sweet dreams, America ❤️
