And obviously, why does he think it's fair to you and your mom to have to live with the danger? Would he think the same if it was a big dog instead of a cat? I'd probably ask him point blank "are you saying you love your cat more than me and mom?" because his actions imply he does.

Likewise, does he think keeping her in a small room all day is good for her mental health and not unfair to her? If she's lived all her life with free roam of the house, how can he think she is happy now??

Did he ever take her to the vet to find out why she just attacked so suddenly and has gotten so violent? Most cats don't just turn vicious for no reason, so she may be sick and in pain, in which case not taking her to the vet is cruel.
