This recent incident is interesting. Women can abuse men. However, she didn’t perceive shoving her bf to be abuse. This misconception is more commonly found on the victim side until a fist is landed. This may also have been a reactive abuse scenario. Best choice. Leave.

There are people who believe the victim must have done something to cause the abuse. That’s the sentiment here. Reactive abuse is the result. This is when a victim is pushed to their brink, it’s not uncommon for them to lash out in retaliation, but the misconception is that they “both participated”.
