You're gonna hate this, but Garth Ennis wrote this exact comic back in like 94 or 95

Honestly found it harder to explain Bigfoot to my daughter than it was to explain that my friend Lisa is married to a woman.

One of my weird little interests is niche jargon. Professional lingo, subculture cants, weird little argots, that kind of thing. I always found this neo-PUA shit impenetrable because of how repellant the speakers are. Truly incredible.

If you're sweatmaxing, your next stop is Night Moves (1975). Body Heat (1981) is also an all-timer in this genre.

Really surprised to see Sizzler's wikipedia article written in the present tense. I assumed the last restaurant went under in 2009

I love this. When my little guy was small, we used to turn the daddy jungle gym time into an impromptu lifting session. Throw him over my shoulders and squat him, or roll him up in my arms and curl him. I miss it now.

Wait, I followed the Jack Horner connection and he went to Epstein for funding to genetically modify a chicken to look like a dinosaur?!

When I shared to a NYC-born coworker that I was planning my first trip to the city, he sent me a video of a muppet explaining this rule (among others) with the line: "You're a tourist, and that makes you a jerk! Follow these rules to be less of a jerk!"

I mean, it would take at least a billion dollars to build a device to pierce the veil and contact Toriyama's spirit for character design work.

Hahaha awesome. My wife has been eyeing the Bretonnians for Old World, but isn't willing to commit to a 2000 point army yet. I'm contemplating getting her a hero model to play with and see if she enjoys it enough to build up to 500 points. We'll see!

I use all three (plus some AK Interactive), and find they each have some strengths and weaknesses these days. GW stuff is still overpriced for the quantity you get, but the quality is good, the color is very consistent, and I find some of their paints are superior for glazing.

Darcy Bono has a pretty good video on YouTube where she demonstrates this, if a visual helps

Yup, that's what I've done. I've only painted a handful of Imperial Fists, but I've painted a shitload of Night Goblins for Warhammer Fantasy, and I use Imperial Fist contrast paint for their yellow sigils. One coat and done.

Ah yeah there have been big leaps in the quality of the paint since the old days. GW's contrast paints are a godsend for quick base coating. Highly recommend testing them on primed sprue before you apply them on your models, since each paint can be a bit different in pigment levels and viscosity.

So yellow can be easy to paint these days. Imperial Fist contrast over a Wraithbone primer is simple and easy. I have painted a few Imperial Fists before, and the trick is to use Black Legion contrast for the undersuit, clean up any mistakes with Wraithbone, and then apply the Imperial Fist contrast
