Submissions are open through January 31st, and the playlist will go live in the first week of February! I’ll email you back with the published link from my Spotify page and tag as many of you as possible in a Reel sharing the final playlist. So excited to hear what you send over 🎶

Your music may have gotten them through the harder moments of 2024 or that one silly thing you posted might’ve made their day. You’ve impacted each other’s lives even if it’s on some small scale, and that’s something to celebrate!

While you put your post together, remember that these memories are also your fans’ memories they’ve made with you this year! Think of it as a scrapbook for yourself and your listeners to remember the year you’ve had together.

Next, some concept art or photoshoot stills from her LOVENOTES fragrance line that started dropping over the summer. And of course, we’d have to round it off with some behind-the-scenes photos from the set of Wicked!

Adding a snippet of the demo for a fan-favorite song like “ordinary things” would offer a closer look into the making of the iconic album and get her followers hyped up about new content they haven’t heard.

For example, here’s what I’d put in an end-of-year recap carousel for Ariana Grande. She released her ‘eternal sunshine’ album in March, so I’d start with some throwback pictures from the album photoshoot or music video sets.

It could highlight your 2024 releases, any shows you played this year, press coverage you received, a personal note on how you grew this year, and any other favorite memories you have.

Your end-of-year recap might take the form of a feed carousel you could put together in Canva, a Reel, or even a newsletter you send out to your most dedicated fans (check out Contentmas Day 3 for more on this!).

It’s okay if you’re still not quite where you want to be, but take some time to acknowledge the steps you’ve taken and the growth you’ve seen. Then, let’s prepare a post about it!

As 2024 comes to a close, it’s a great time to look back on your accomplishments from the past 12 months and how your supporters helped you reach them. Think about what your life, streams, socials, etc. looked like in January versus right now.

If you want more than 1-2 links in your bio, consider making a landing page with a platform like Later, @linktr.ee, or @found.ee to keep it streamlined and neat.

Finally, the link in your bio is prime social media real estate! This is your gateway to get fans off an app and into your world, so make it direct.

I’ve seen artists with categories like Therapist and this can get confusing to new fans who might not know exactly where to find you, or even people in your area who are looking for a properly licensed therapist.

On platforms like Instagram that let you choose a profile “business” category, I strongly suggest choosing Musician/Band for clarity.

Give yourself a memorable bio that makes it clear who you are as an artist, and that you ARE an artist.
