I try to be reasonable and understanding, I give them the benefit of the doubt that they have IRL stuff and don't focus solely on art that they can forget or be so caught up that they don't have time. I don't want to look like i'm annoying or bully them so I message them every 2 weeks for a wip.

I message every 2 weeks if there is as update to the commission and if they don't respond I will assume they disappeared and request a refund, if they don't show me anything or an update after a certain time I will give a deadline that if nothing is shown or not finished then I put in for a refund.
