My current three favorite tools for thinking are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and there are getting to be more and more good-for-kids expressions of these things.

I've mainly been watching the channels about cats, and one thing that is clear about the cats who use more complex concepts is that the button use creates a "language" which is a new thing, halfway between cat and human, and requiring a greater degree of understanding between both.

I don't thing the button use thing requires human traits. Indeed, one thing that they make clear is that cats and dogs do see the world differently than humans, and communication of complex thoughts requires understanding how they think.

But it also involves them understanding more about humans.
