I think it is a both/and call. It is not THE driver but is is An Important driver. Remember Bush & Co using the language of a "crusade?" But also, oil & power & other important drivers as well. And it is less church-derived than rooted in 1990s AM talk radio theology.

So passing along the reminder that sometimes you do everything right and bad shit still happens. We can reduce risk but we can't individual responsibility our way to guaranteed good health. This has to be a collective infrastructure project to really get anywhere.

Got reminded that likely I got the covid BECAUSE I was still weak from another virus rather than bec I fucked up and appreciating the useful reminder that getting sick often does weaken the immune system so we're more susceptible to getting sick again even with strong preventative measures.

Was on a zoom thing earlier and I guy I used to have a crush on had his new GF w him and I had a brief flash of jealousy before massive relief that I dodged that bullet. A cure for a crush is to get to know someone and it did not take long to see that he has "control issues." Praying for her.
