Labor lawsuit says O.C.-based Hyundai, Kia are exploiting children, immigrants, inmates A lawsuit filed Friday accuses Fountain Valley-based Hyundai and Irvine-based Kia of using cheap labor in supply chains, then masking the practice to get public agency contracts in California.

Labor trafficking is often hidden in plain sight within complex supply chains. This situation with Hyundai and Kia is a stark reminder that vulnerable workers can be exploited anywhere, even by big brands.
