This series of bike routes I’m working on have more to do with the stories told on the land, rather than the riding we do there. Maybe by riding there we understand, and remember, those stories a bit better.

Yeah, we get them down here pretty much any time. Today was a surprise, though, as it was only in the 50s. The big-bodied snakes like the rattlesnakes need 65+, but I guess that doesn't mean anything other than I just haven't seen them.

Really nice day on the trails; the rain today really helped settle the dust and haze. Hoping it doesn't wreak havoc on the burn zones.

Reflecting on a couple of days #bikepacking through the Sky Islands region in southern Arizona. Interesting juxtaposition between the haves and have nots. Our campground Saturday evening--just a few miles from the border--had plenty of humanitarian aid. In a hotel tonight, seemingly a world away.

1) Wealth won't let you hide from climate change. This is self-evident.

2) When the new one denied FEMA aid to these people for not voting for him, remember that elections have consequences.
