We've now got a feedback form, let us know (anonymously) what you think of our events, and of TLC in general.

And if you're interested to know what we are cooking up next - we are hoping to hire a pool for a trans+queer swimming session, we want to do another life drawing event, there's *always* another clothes swap just arouns the corner, and we are planning a public open meeting this spring!

Our expenses can all be viewed on the open collective platform, and you'll see that our biggest expenditure is always venue hire. We work really hard to make sure that our events take place in venues with good accessibility and the best covid protections we can manage β€οΈ

Trans Liberation Cambridge - Open Collective
Building trans power and community in Cambridge through protests, social events and skillshares
We don't talk about this much, because it is vitally important that our events are free to attend and we never ever want attendees to feel pressured to pay for anything they come along to.
But TLC is entirely community funded, and you can chip in if you'd like to!

We currently use a little hall that has a side room with a curtain, and so far it's the only venue we've found that has a big space for clothes rails, and a small space alongside to use as a changing room.
If you know of somewhere that fits the bill in Cambridge, please get in touch!

Friends, we currently have one Really Good Location to do clothes swaps in, and it would be really nice to have options. Any venue we use needs to be accessible by wheelchair and be close to a bus route. Clothes swaps are trickier though, because we also need parking, and space to try clothes on.

Simple graphic on a pale blue background. Red title reads "FUNDS URGENTLY NEEDED". Text underneath reads "Once again weβve received more applications than weβre able to pay out, even after opening for barely over a minute. Weβre about Β£340 short of the funds we need to pay out all the grants on our waiting list. Any amount you can give helps us towards paying out the next Β£40 grant. Sharing this post also helps us enormously. Go to bit.ly/SolCam to donate." The CSF logo, featuring people on ladders picking apples from a tree, is in the bottom corner.
Cambridge Solidarity Fund gives money to people in need across our city, no questions asked. Cambridge has some of the highest wealth inequality in the UK, and CSF does absolutely essential work.
It's also Β£340 short of the funds needed for this month's grants

Do you wanna kick off 2026 by Doing Art? Of course you do my darlings. Trans and queer life drawing, for free, book a seat and come along.
Cannot emphasise enough how irrelevant skill level is, you can literally have never held a pencil before in your life and still come and have a lovely time!

A halftoned image of a classical statue (the god Hermaphroditus/e) from waist up, in rich raspberry pink on a deep purple background. They play with their long wavy hair. Around them, the text for the event sits in a funky 70s-ish font in bright lemon yellow. It says the time and date as above, and "trans and queer life drawing - loads of models - tunes - pencils and things" and a star burst saying "wow its free!" at the bottom of the image.
What better way to beat the post-holiday doldrums than a gorgeous cosy night in (well, at the NCI Centre) drawing gorgeous trans folk with your friends? 9th Jan, 7-9pm, NCI Centre, Cambridge!
Paper and some materials provided, obvs being your own kit if you have it. All skill levels adored x
