In a world of increasingly horrible digital surveillance and masked ICE thugs snatching people off the street, the absolute last thing | want to do is turn my car into part of the brutal surveillance network used to track and identify people for the secret police. And no, | will not believe any assurances about how this data is secure or not shared with federal agents or even for-profit thugs like Palantir. Of course it will. That's what these systems always get used for and it's always portrayed as some benefit to the people being surveilled. But it is not. And I hope this product never comes to market because it preys on people's fears to get them to allow surveillance of their neighbors, putting everyone more at risk and empowering the worst forces at work in our world right now.

This is from a survey about a "new product" they pitched as anti-theft, but it's totally surveillance. "A digital mesh network that will record everything" and totally share it with the cops...
