🟩 More flexible ticket options. We’re introducing a new day pass for unlimited trips and a “pay-as-you-go” mobile discount.

🟩 Reduced fare riders can ride all day at a discount—even in the morning peak.

Heads up!

We’re proposing major changes to our ticket policy and fares for next year:

🟩 No more ticket activation. One-way tickets will now auto-activate upon purchase. Both paper and mobile tickets will expire after four hours.

When boarding and exiting the train, pay close attention to the space between the train and the platform—it may be larger than you think!

MTA Metro-North Railroad Heritage Series Celebrate the rich history and legacy of Metro-North commemorated in new train wrap designs.

🤩 The @mtametronorth.bsky.social Heritage Series is a fleet of restored Genesis P32AC-DM locomotives currently operating in regular service. Each locomotive is overhauled and wrapped or painted in a commemorative livery that highlights Metro-North’s history and the railroads that came before it.

The results of our most recent customer satisfaction survey are in: Overall satisfaction with Metro-North climbed to 89%! Service frequency and seat availability were key drivers of this improvement.

Overall satisfaction for each line was the following:
🌟 Hudson: 90%
🌟 Harlem: 89%
🌟 New Haven: 89%

We partnered with Connecticut Department of Transportation leadership yesterday for our Connect with Us event at Milford Station, speaking with customers and listening to their comments, concerns, and suggestions for the railroad.

Our Operations Training team recently hosted the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials at Grand Central Terminal. Attendees experienced hands-on locomotive simulator training and virtual reality demos, and learned from senior leadership.
