Was able to see Iron Lung over the weekend. I don't usually like horror films I did enjoy this one. I tend to only really see them if they're connected with video games.

I'm finally finished with the Death Note manga. It's taken quite a while to get everything and read through it all. There was an 8-year gap between volumes 7 and 8, followed by a 10-year gap between volumes 8 and 9.

A cd I ordered came in. I decided on a whim to look at eBay to see what I could find. I found the No Doubt album my mom used to own.

Since starting the detox I feel I have a bit more energy and more motivation to read the books that have been piling up. I feel I’m actually listening to the music being played. I also decided to cancel my Spotify account and focus on my cd and mp3 collection.

It has been nearly a week since switching from my iPhone to a flip phone for a digital detox. I still have have my iPhone, but now it mostly serves as an iPod of sorts. I haven’t been using it as much. I’ve spend less time with doomscrolling whatever else I do on my phone.

#mangahaul Even though I didn't really need to buy more manga this month, with my TBR pile being as big as it is, I wanted to at least complete my collection of Death Note, which I was gradually working on for nearly 20 years. I'm surprised it took that long to get everything. Had only 4 left.

Yesterday I gotten an MP3 player. Even though I probably didn’t really need to buy it since I still have my phone I thought it would be nice to have for more separation from the smart phone. I do like it so far.

I never thought going back to to a flip phone would affect my motivation to actually real my books.

Flip Phone Update: This is the second day since the new phone arrived and has been activated. I've barely had any desire to pick up either that phone of the iPhone. Aside from some texting and journaling. I have fidgeted a bit with the phone but didn't really do much else. Used the iPhone for music.

Had a bit of a scare. I had accidently disconnected my keyboard. Had some trouble getting it to work again. For a moment I thought I had to go and buy a new one after using this one for roughly 5 years. That's the longest I've had a keyboard. It isn't anything fancy or expensive. But it is nice.

One funny thing about having a flip phone is that using the journal feature almost instantly reminds me of Mirai Nikki. At least there's no death game involved here.

An update. I’ve obtained a SIM card and got it installed and running. I still have my iPhone. Though now it’s more like an iPod that can do some extra things. One thing I should remember is not to have the iPhone by me when I’m trying to sleep. That was one issue I had. Games or doomscrolling.

I got caught up with the idea of downgrading my phone to a flip phone. I kinda missed having one. All I need to do now is to go and get a SIM card. Since my iPhone has an ecard I can’t just take it from my current phone. After my iPhone will be more like an iPod.

I go by Vic. My tbr is countless. An entire bookshelf of books I’ve yet to touch. I’d like to read at least 12 of them before the end of the year. Or at least more than one book. I lean towards fantasy and science fiction. Favorite series is Hunger Games.

I realized I never posted my new year goals here. Or I don’t think I do. The main goal is mainly to try to go though some of my unread books. There is a lot I have not touched. A whole bookshelf.

With the update to Animal Crossing I decided I find my copy and start playing again. Started over with a new island. This was the first game I got for the Switch.
