Targeting journalists is prohibited under international law.

It’s a war crime under Article 79 of the Geneva Conventions.

The world cannot be silent.

The press is humanity’s last witness, and it’s being hunted.

Two days ago, Israel greenlit its invasion of Gaza City.

Now, by murdering the last independent journalists, they’re clearing the path for mass atrocities, with no witnesses left.

This is a deliberate ERASURE of Gaza’s history to bury their crimes in darkness.

Anas’s last reports covered Gaza’s famine & the starvation he and his colleagues faced, caused by Israel’s blockade on food aid.

Minutes before his death, he warned:

“If this madness doesn’t stop… nothing will remain of Gaza but rubble.”

These smears and disinformation campaigns spread like wildfire on X, Telegram & other platforms via official Israeli accounts & allied media.

They primed the world to view Palestinian journalists as “legitimate targets.”

That’s how you justify killing reporters to silence them.

Ten days ago, the #UN warned about repeated threats from the Israeli army against Anas.

Days earlier, Israel’s military publicly accused him and other Al Jazeera journalists of “terrorist” ties, without evidence.

This was online incitement before the assassination.

Since Oct 7, 2023, Israel has killed 232+ journalists in Gaza, the deadliest period for the press in modern history.

And it’s no accident. Israel:

🔴 Bans foreign reporters from Gaza
🔴 Smears, spreads disinformation, and threatens local journalists
🔴 Then kills them

They weren’t on the frontline.
They weren’t in a combat zone.

They were inside their press tent near Al-Shifa Hospital, clearly marked, far from fighting, when the missile hit.
