I've been working on being able to setup an avatar through the Unity SDK for @resonite.com. There's still more to do, but... I technically got an avatar to work. "Technically" being the word. :D

I might need to find actual avatar model to test with.

Quick update on the @unity.com SDK for @resonite.com - skinned meshes now translate! This paves the way towards setting up avatars through this! :3

(also marvel at my Blender 3D modelling & rigging skills to make the test mesh x3)

i was happy when i saw they were taking it out of the app menu and the store bc i thought it was quietly admitting defeat and pivoting back to a normal VR focus but no THEYRE STILL MAKING IT

this is super necro'ing your post but usu it's with IR emitters and IR cams around the lenses in the headset, then something similar either pointed down from the nose notch @ the mouth or a square you attach to the headset that sits in front of ur face :)

Obviously anyone CAN block for any reason. That's a given, and if you block me I'm not gonna seek you out. You put that line down and you have that choice. but I DO not see you in a very kind light if you block people just to be inflammatory or cruel

I block people for being harassers or if they're choosing to be cruel or ignore reasonable boundaries. For anyone else, why would I? I want discussions and I want to be able to work things out with people. Some of the best ppl in my life who I love the dearest are ppl I met in a nasty argument

Like at least the ones who brag about doing this ironically out themselves as red flags but also it's tiring there's a sect of ppl who do antagonism blocks. I want to be around empathetic people who genuinely care abt emotional reciprocation and mutual understanding yknow

No rlly tho it feels like ppl block just as a show of strength of some sort and it's weird. Like doing it just to hurt ppls feelings and be edgy then be smug about it. Like it's just deliberately antagonistic to pick fights with others

The changes are also real-time synchronized to everyone in the session.

I think with this we'll have the coolest social VR platform SDK out there!

in a dnd session trying to pretend im not completely checked out bc i keep getting overactioned by everyone when i try ANYTHING AND bc the DM has made this the last session, aborting all our arcs early, bc of bg stuff we didn't know abt + a player's actions that shouldn't have been that severe
