Fossils look as if theyβve been decorated or coloured by their previous owner.

A stone will naturally sit to give you the desired perspective to see not only the picture side but also the ugly side.

I think the eye in this one is blown charcoal paint done long ago.

I think itβs natural but it did draw my attention!!

How I look at them.
Puddingstone example
Iβve shown this stone to half a dozen archaeologists and the tell me that these marks are from the plough.
This is one of hundreds of examples I have collected that lean towards rock art.
Nature is amazing.
This to me is a horse and rider with bow and sword.
I collect puddingstone. I can see it, even when driving!
Plenty in my area. I found 100 pieces, varying in size.
I believe they were used by local tribes for thousands of years as ceremonial tools and many are in the shape of handaxes.
