I'm looking forward to GdT's Frankenstein, and reeeeally sceptical about Luc Besson's Dracula.

They have them in several regional dialects. They also "localize" the story setting a little. Iirc the Hessian version substituted cervisia with Ebbelwoi (Apfelwein - German cider).

The combo of getting a literature degree and having a kid just devastated my reading brain...

Wrote 1200 words of an Aerea-centered fanfic that's basically a narrative exploration of my theory on what happened to her... I don't think I'll upload it before it's done, though.

I have finished reading another book today (thanks to covid, in part). That's my second book read for my own pleasure this year. I haven't been able to read for fun in over a decade. This feels like a big achievement :)

Then we had a discussion about how her leaving Japan to live with me. I really didn't want that but I was too polite... and she kept insisting it would all work out.

Cut to next morning - my brain did a fade to black so it wasn't a sex dream... anyway for some reason I slept there. I'm like, "Thanks, I had a good time,"

I had the weirdest dream tonight. I was in Japan, and went into a girls bar, mainly just to ask if they were *that* kind of club. And then I ended up in the back with a sex worker. She had a pet deer.
