I had a swimming teacher like that. Always angry. Annoyed that I cried, when boys jumped on my back, and I almost drowned. I wonder how lost in their own inadequacy grown ups like that are. Great piece.

This is absurdly obvious these days but this country's obsession with names we recognize, insistence on politicians-as-celebrities rather than just a schmo we hire to do a boring job, and inability to banish offenders of various stripes from public life is all fall-of-empires sort of shit.

Why is this so genius?

I mute trauma shock posters, if there is no other option on your page for sharing your story. I sympathise with you deeply, but words convey a story. And those of us already on your side may have to make the same choice as me. Plus people are likelier to block and report you.

Please, if you ask me to share your request for aid, do so without the images of suffering children. I understand you feel the shock necessary, but there are other traumatic experiences than yours, and the images will not only go to those ignorant of your struggles but the ones with trauma.

I hate these men with every fibre of my being. How convenient to be so utterly ignorant, supposedly. I think elbow is fine at work place as he touched you. Well obviously some other gross excuse might side with him. Argh

From personal experience, it's really good for mental health to practice self care and to learn to be creative while accepting our limits. I might pick something back up ages later, if fatigue took me, but that's ok. Or do smaller projects.

Depression is killing me slowly, brutally.
I’m drowning in fear not for my own life, but for my family’s.

I spent my childhood and youth being judged for so many things that it took me way longer than it otherwise might have to accept that I get to be bi/pan. I went to pride for other people. I didn't experience bigotry against my sexuality personally. But like I don't deserve things. Now I get to *be*.

Bigots be bigoting everywhere we turn. As if sexual minorities don't get enough hate, globally. I'm safe, not so worried for myself, but there are enough people in danger for their sexuality. Weird to add to that to feel what? Legimacy? The usual bigot elitism of my group is some special club?

Yeah, and how is she leaving for any gender, if she is bi/pan? Leaving to still date not based on gender? I have more straight passing experience, purely due to circumstances. But I'm so sick of people judging other people's dating behaviour as if it's any of their business.

I honestly don't get "she left me for a man" as a strategy. Are people supposed to gasp: "how dare she act like what she said she was?" You raise great questions.
