Was a bit scared of them, so I got a Spires army to practice. Marco Frisoni tutorial ( youtu.be/4qgy33uKCh4 ) really helped.

There’s a few quirks but really enjoying it so far - long drying times are perfect for my lazy ass. easy to undo mistakes too, which is great for experimenting.

Dove into oil paint (not literally) and learning how it’s different from acrylics. TLDR: blending in acrylic is for chumps ( I am the chump ) but will be sure to open a window in future
