Šuspa led an excursion for students and the public at the weekend. Roasting sausages and a visit to the pub were included. Šuspa has demonstrated many nice plants, among others, Blechnum spicant, Potentilla norvegica, and Scirpus radicans. Photos by @eusic.bsky.social

Temperate forest plants are associated with heterogeneous semi-open canopy conditions shaped by large herbivores - Nature Plants Temperate forest plants favour heterogeneous semi-open woodlands associated with high herbivore densities, rather than uniform closed-canopy forests. Herbivore loss is therefore a probable driver of e...

Last week I had the privilege of presenting my PhD project on plant communities in chestnut groves at the 5th Mediterranean Plant Conservation Week in Limassol, Cyprus. It was a week full of interesting people and great plant science.

I had a great time at #Biospace25, the first international conference dedicated exclusively to the use of remote sensing to study biodiversity - high quality talks, sessions and workshops - lots of food for thought and lots of nice people in an always exciting venue like the European Space Agency!
