I’m watching non-silent hill tourists (I’m a silent hill tourist lol) critique Silent Hill 2 Remake and low key it kinda makes me glad I missed out on it the first time. I really got to enjoy the game on its own merit. I feel like my experience was the same as everyone else’s original experience lol

I don’t think I posted this here, I beat silent hill 2 remake. It’s so good. It might actually be my favorite game of all time. I genuinely have never experienced a game like that before.

another thing is nobody is reacting much to what’s going on. There’s a part where you walk straight up to pyramid head behind bars and James doesn’t react to it at all lmao.

Like I saw this as a player and had to turn the game off for a few minutes to collect myself…but James didn’t even flinch lol

Silent Hill 2_R has much better combat btw. it’s much easier to avoid when you don’t want to deal during the puzzle sections. It also feels better in terms of controls.

the monsters are way creepier too, which I think helps.

It wasn’t too scary for me to handle watching it but I did have dreams about the antagonist all night. I’m lowkey superstitious so I kept seeing the uh.. “stick” in my dreams. I’m sleepy lmao

Me and Charlie watched Weapons the other night and Alex’s whole chapter made us so sad. I think Charlie specifically saw some irl parallels that made it hard to watch.

The movie is good though, we liked it! It was very effective in portraying life in an abusive household, responses to grief, etc

But in this one I’m still scared despite playing an adult man who doesn’t seem that bothered by anything he sees in Silent Hill lol
