Not that I’m an avid cricket watcher, but this Boxing Day Test is the first time in a VERY long time that I’ve watched someone actually win a match. So it’s been a nice few days relaxing and enjoying the game.

It’s been about 40 years, or so, since I watched the start of the Boxing Day Test Match. I don’t ever recall so much pomp and ceremony - anthems etc. It was a coin flip, Tony stuck his key in the pitch and babbled about weather and player comfort then the game commenced. #AusvInd

10 more days left until the end of QLD school term. Leading alternative activities for 2 weeks as numbers decline & wind down to holidays. Finished all reports & admin for Term 4 & Semester 2 today. Some PD on Friday then an easy week ahead to wrap the year. #EduSky

During planning a high school unit we were using Sharepoint so all could see/update the document in real-time (great resource normally). I was using a laptop with a trackpad instead of a mouse, accidentally clicked & selected 10 pages & backspaced w/o realising it. No Undelete! 2 days to catch up :(

I’m noticing the “Twitter/X” habit of people following in order to get a follow back trend … I just unfollowed several teachers, educators, Queenslanders, Australians who did this.

The government has dropped its misinformation/disinformation bill, because it was going to lose in the Senate.

If/When :) I go ahead, it will have to be part time while teaching a reduced load. One thing that (out of pride?) I think it will offer my students is an example of perseverance, life-long learning, & reaching towards excellence.

One thing I look for in a social network is not to have the CEO shove his reactionary political views in my face every time I open the app. So I’m happy here.
