Bucky is always quick to be near Bruce when he can.

He's calm, soft, loving.

"I love you with everything I have."

He melts into Bruce's arms, kissing his neck, breathing him in.

Bucky's eyes threaten to spill over.

"But it was you who rallied for me." You got all that done for me. I am thankful for you."

"I don't have a clue how I was approved, but my guess is you flashed that smile at the right people."

Bucky touches Bruce's cheek lovingly.

"But you made it possible."

Bucky's life had gotten much better since becoming Dr.Bruce Wayne's boyfriend then husband.

Bucky kisses Bruce's cheek, absolutely adoring how lovely his husband is.

"Finally have my own little family."

But Bruce was definitely the patriarch.

Bucky hadn't thought it possible. At least in this lifetime.

"I just like being where you are."

Bucky wraps his arm around Bruce's waist.

"No one else ever made me feel like I'm home."

Bucky sighs as he settles against his husband's chest.

"I'd take this with you anyday.As long as Im by your side."

Bucky looks up at Bruce, kissing the top of his hand.

He's never been more in love.

"I'm thankful for you no matter what."

Bucky chuckles as he watches Bruce clean him up.

"You're going to be an amazing dad."

Bruce was always kind and patient, even when Bucky ruined his dishwasher washing his arm.

Bucky nods and wipes the marshmallow on his shirt, then leans against Bruce again.

Bucky nods.

"Want me to fix you one?"

He hands back the (now cooled) stick.

"I should be helping."

He flashes his metal arm, taking the marshmallow off the stick for Bruce.

"Did you burn yourself?"

Bucky gently touches Bruce's arm.

"I can grab some ice for you."

"Over a hundred years ago, give or take."

Bucky's watching a ghostly buck that almost silently stumbled upon their fire.

"Used to be this way everywhere."

Bucky had dreamed of retiring somewhere far away from humans, but then he met Bruce a few days after he'd put an offer in on a house.

He quickly took it off the table. Just in case.

"It's a really nice night. Can see the stars."

He looks up, eyes scanning for constellations.

"Thank you."

He leans against Bruce, watching the sparks pop from the fire.

Bucky takes a seat at Bruce's feet, just wanting to be close.
