Today was me mamma’s funeral, which was obviously a sad day but also a lovely celebration of everything that made her so amazing. Loved talking about old times, including her occasional cameos on the radio when she inevitably stole the show like this ❤️⬇️

Why does the poster for the new Wuthering Heights film have the title in quote marks? Implying it’s not actually Wuthering Heights, but a film just claiming to be. Are we meant to do the ironic air quote fingers when we say ‘I’m going to see “Wuthering Heights”’, like it’s not true? I need answers.

Hamnet: Have we already seen the best film of 2026? Whenever I bother to pick up my laptop and actually do some writing, it tends to be for the big moments. That’s either in the build up to the Oscars or to rank my favourite movies of the year…

Today is 10 years since I left my old office job to have a go at a radio career, having been offered just 6 freelance shifts initially. Turns out it was the best decision I’ve ever made and now I’ve got my literal dream job that I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid. I feel very lucky.

Based on what I’ve seen on the telly, the Scissor Sisters have put on the best show at Glastonbury this year by an absolute mile.

I don’t disagree that it’s shameless self-promotion, like any awards are. There’s also industry politics at play, which is why I like to focus on the work itself, particularly those films overlooked. I agree, it should be about the art. But I’m no part of the machine, just someone with an interest.
