I think he‘s genuine but it’s SDL; anything can happen. I loved how Marta confronted Pelayo about Fina‘s role in all of this, insisting that they won’t separate even if she was to marry him. Marta and Fina are setting the ground rules, which I believe is a good thing.

Yeah. I also noticed how there’s (almost) always a drink involved in their scenes. Marta also had the occasional drink with Jaime but with Pelayo alcohol is omnipresent.

Sé que es imposible que Marta y Fina se casen. Me refería a un acuerdo ideal con 4 personas, incluidos Pelayo y Marta, y Fina y la pareja de Pelayo (que aún no tenemos). Pero dos parejas homosexuales en la serie es probablemente mucho pedir.

There’s one thing that would bother me about the arrangement though: Fina‘s somewhat left in limbo. She’ll stay unmarried (and officially single) which will only attract more trouble in the long run. Ideally, it would be a 4-person deal.

You’re absolutely right. I also hope we’ll get some deeper communication between them about this, especially now that we actually have an interior set, but Marta will also stay busy with the company. We‘ll see where the writers take it bc I think they’ve been dropping hints about Fina‘s well-being.

I‘ve been wondering the same lately because I don’t see Fina getting better. Instead she‘s said sth to the effect that she doesn’t know who she is anymore, or how to enter the public again or return to her previous work in the store. Now they had their refuge violated by Santiago too. We’ll see…

I hope Fina‘s gaydar will ping soon when it comes to Pelayo 😄 But, for the time being, this secret has the potential to cause more misunderstanding bc Fina might misinterpret genuine friendship between Marta and Pelayo for romantic interest on his part. This could also make for some funny scenes.
