This week and weekend have been a whirlwind! But my team captured some "calm before the caucus storm" photos in a moment of peace last week. 😊

Thank you to everyone who participated in democracy over the past few days! My heart is hopeful for the future.

Someone who doesn’t spend time slinging mud and filing lawsuits using a MAGA lawyer who tried to overturn the 2020 election but instead works to build a movement to deliver for the people of CD4.
Because THAT is how we beat Lauren Boebert.

And more than that people DO know what is needed in this moment. Someone who knows that in order to make up 52,000 votes we need a new approach. Someone that can attract Democrats, Independents and disappointed Republicans with a message that unifies not divides.

I’ve been honest about being a former Republican who found a home in the Democratic Party where my values aligned. Isn’t that what we all want? To hope that more and more people see this party as one that fights for democracy, rights, and values?

People DO know who’s running. A proven public servant who served our country under six presidents of both parties as a military officer - never as a political appointee.

Was that an apology for disparaging and mischaracterizing my service? It didn’t sound like it.

Here’s what I think. I think people DO know who’s running - someone who served her country for 34 years, who knows how to put country before self and believes in the values of democracy.

I will never take money from corporate PACs or from corporations. Corporations are not people. Citizens United is wrong. And way too many politicians on both sides of the aisle are bought and paid for by corporations.

I believe in people-powered campaigns. That's why my average donation is $22.

After 34 years in the United States Navy, serving under six presidents from both parties, I never imagined I would be attacked for wearing the uniform of this country. But that’s exactly what my primary opponent is doing.

Let me be clear: we are absolutely continuing to go through caucus.

We are organizing. We are showing up. We are participating fully in the Democratic process in every corner of this district.

We are engaging new democrats and sparking inclusion.

We win in November by engaging everyone and expanding our coalition – not hiring a MAGA lawyer who already tried to overturn one election to suppress voters in another.

While others focus on attacking, we’re focused on earning support, engaging voters, and defeating Lauren Boebert in November.

The caucus process exists to engage voters, and that’s exactly what we’re doing. We’ve been organizing for months and expect strong participation across the district, including more than 100 veterans showing up in support.

This is exactly why people are sick of politics—the attacks, the distractions, the noise. That’s not why I served, and it’s not why I’m running.

I spent 34 years in the U.S. Navy serving this country. To me, service means putting people first and making sure they’re heard — not tearing others down.

Our neighbors in Sterling Ranch came out in force last week -- over 65 people came to have their concerns heard!

Sterling, CO is the gateway to Nebraska. Folks here are rightly concerned about Nebraska trying to re-route water from the South Platte River to skip Northeast Colorado altogether. State officials are fighting back and I will do everything I can to support these communities in Congress.
