Photos of the Lansing Community College mace and Presidential medallion. Both are metal with the college logo in the center. The mace has a replica of the Michigan State Capitol on the top and sits on the end of a long wooden staff; the medallion has the script Lansing Community College President around the edges and is suspended from a chain.
Three years ago, our college built a custom mace and medallion to tell the story of our college. Used at our annual commencement exercises, these items were designed and built by LCC employees. The mace contains building artifacts, including old growth pine from Old Central, built in the 1870s.
