I'm getting very excited with the @unity.com SDK for @resonite.com - avatar setup is almost fully working!

And the coolest thing - you can make live edits in Unity Editor to the avatar *while* wearing it in Resonite!

I know the laws aren't exactly there yet but where does it end after OS level verification laws targeting OS devs? Are they gonna start treating operating systems or anything free/open source they can't control like illegal materials on your own computer?

I will never comply with these laws once I'm on Linux as how tf would these laws be enforced without goons breaking into your house and jailing you for a windowsxp or linux machine without verification?

Sadly this is a bi-partisan effort being led by the Democrats. We need to call ALL lawmakers and tell the Democrats (Warner, Blumenthal, etc) to stop voting for mass AI surveillance and censorship

it will come into effect 2027, with how broad the bill is would mean even a PSP or DSI, cash registers, a smart fridge, a smart washing machine, AC unit, alexa, etc, would technically need verification since it connects to Internet and has a computer in it technically, its so dumb.

beats me, additionally everyone who sees the age verification pushes are pissed off at him for signing an operating system level age verification bill in 2025 for windows/mac/linux and (any device???) in california similar to colorado.

I've heard the comments of realtime editing in unity using Resonitelink and some of those people will realize too that they are able to edit things inside of Resonite and externally simultaneously which will be blowing minds in realtime as some didn't understand how it works till they see it. :3

Wouldnt think they would us that to stop people from doing things in their own worlds it be like if blender needed to ban nsfw content but that's impossible as that is software on your PC that you can use even offline, I'm more concerned about age verification on a operating system level in CA

This is a still a crusade against people expressing themselves by payment processors that want purity, and it will be a slippery slope to other things treated like this too like furry characters in general, politics they don't like, violent media, LGBTQ+ and progressive content to be suppressed.

I've just refactored the @resonite.com Unity SDK binding generation into its own Visual Studio project, instead of being in Unity.

It went down from 15 minutes to compile (in Unity) to about 15 seconds!

Bruh it's such a LOUD tell when someone says "Empathy is a myth, you can't feel someone else's emotions or pain."

It's like someone telling me that "fight or flight", "laughter", or "shared joy" is a myth. I can feel it, I hope you can learn to feel it too.

Empathy was never a sin to begin with, and should never be even considered one.

Empathy ain't weakness either, it's caring about others and yourself.

Especially if you live in Colorado, say NO to this bill to your reps, even if it targets operating system developers/companies, how would it target every fork of Linux without just straight up outlawing them too.
