Anyway. Things have been weird, I still feel weird. The possible medical stuff on top of the mental stuff does NOT help, but otherwise things are looking up.

(Also the meds I started last month seem to help a bit, still sad but things don't feel so dark)

But I've also had some old friends from high school reach out who live in or near where I am now, I'm having brunch with one of them this weekend! And the other invited me to come visit sometime, I've not seen her in so long and she's got two kids now!

I sometimes wonder if I ever should have left my hometown, where my parents are and other people who genuinely cared about me. The answer is yes of course, I like where I am and what I do, I just miss the support. It's still there, just long distance (and really not that far away)

I was home over the weekend and got to see my former music teacher, who has always been a huge part of my life. Her son was in town to put on a recital and I came back to attend. She sat me down during the reception after and we cried together in a room full of people mingling and eating cupcakes 😅

I've been having a real tough time lately (aren't we all) I've mentioned my struggles more while posting on socials with irl people. I feel embarrassed after I post things, like I'm crying for attention, but I've had a few people actually reach out and offer support so maybe it's good that I did.

Had another bout of pain last night so I finally called and set up my ultrasound appointment for them to look at my gallbladder since this is becoming more frequent 💀 grateful for my dad who is taking the day off next week so he can come along as moral support

Alien hairbrush sounds so cute though! My hair isn't wavy but it's very thick & the Wet Brush brand always works for me, I usually get the kind like this & I've never had tangles! Sometimes I've forgotten to pack it when visiting my parents & had to borrow my mom's basic brush & it hurts to use 😫

Last night's rehearsal was interesting with bandaids all over my playing hand (fought a disc sander at work and lost) BUT we sight read Beethoven's Egmont Overture and I'm soooo excited that we're playing this for our final concert this season 🥰

Aw yeah, it's not for everyone! But I have people of all ages come in all the time wanting to get back into it! Just last week I had a high school girl who gave it up a couple years ago decide that she missed it too much and came in with her mom to get a new violin ☺️

My dramatic little lady seems to be eating fine now, I went to the store last night and bought pate food, gravy treats, canned tuna and chicken, etc. When I got home she was screaming for food so I put her regular stuff out while I unpacked the groceries and she ate like normal 🙄

Oh that sounds awful! I've only experienced the nausea and pain a handful of times over the last few years but when it happened the other night it was the worst it's ever been and I was up alllll night with it 😕 I was fortunate that I was already seeing my doc today and remembered to mention it

Sooo doc said my tummy issues from a week ago are probably gallbladder related and wants me to do an ultrasound to check things out and I'm very 😬 I know it's a common/basic issue but I've never dealt with anything since wisdom teeth/tonsils when I was a teen aaaaagh
