Today #CapTheHoodedCrow came to meet me on our walk in the exact place I saw him last, where he gave me a gift. No gift today, and he got spooked by something before I could give him his almonds, but Jake finally got to see him swoop in and land about five feet from me.

At first I was worried because he kept doing it even after I threw out his almonds and I thought maybe it was stuck in his beak. But as I began to walk away, he dropped it and went to get his snack. I think he was clicking it around to make sure I knew he had it and could see him drop it for me.

This is in honor of the first ever gift they've given me: a little plastic cap. He appeared out of nowhere on our walk today with this treasure in his mouth, rotating it in his beak to make a repeating click-clack noise.
