TIME Reveals the 2026 TIME100 Health List of the World’s Most Influential Leaders in Health TIME reveals the third annual TIME100 Health list, recognizing the 100 most influential individuals in health.

Time Magazine loses credibility when it platforms RFK Jr., Dr. Oz, and Marty Makary—individuals who have pushed misinformation, weakened public health, and backed policies that cost lives.

This isn’t recognition.
It’s normalization of harm

I’m taking a few days off this week, but instead of #digitaldetox I’ve decided to spend a few (tedious) hours #digitalcleansing.
✔️ Unsubscribing what I always just delete
✔️ Unfollowing what is no longer relevant in my feed
✔️ Removing connections from a a different lifetime I don’t even remember

I miss the years of hashtag movements, which simply nailed a cause: eg #metoo or #blacklivesmatter. The Epstein reporting suffers from constantly pointing to one (now dead) man, instead of the entire sick web of culprits and complicity.

A personal side-note: I wonder what the critics of the decolonization movement from the past years would say now in a phase of might is right and active imperialism. Still a "diversion" and "unhelpful battle of radicals"?

Prashanth Srinvas suggests that one route to decolonization may be to value locally embedded expertise as global health (rather than the people who claim to have expertise and solutions for entire continents and globally).

"Colonization didn't end in the 1960s. Extractive colonization exists now." An important reminder from @seyeabimbola.bsky.social from today's decolonising #globalhealth keynote at @itmantwerp.bsky.social (I'm following online now).

Any organization taking funds from these billionaires should seriously consider whether they are abiding to their ethical funding guidelines.

Like all bubbles, the illusion that billionaires are successful saviours has, in 2026 the latest, popped.

Time to open your eyes and ears if you’re still hero-praising these broligarchs who tred on democracy (and women) like dirt.

MenopaUSe I wrote this blog in my head, lying awake for four hours in the night, with jet lag. Except: I have been at home and in the same timezone for weeks. Welcome to my menopause journey…

And have you ever heard of “frozen shoulder”? Well I now have, and guess what it’s linked to and whether there’s any information or treatment, even among specialists? 😩https://katribertram.wordpress.com/2025/06/21/menopause/

Did you know only 5% of R&D goes into anything related to women’s health? I didn’t, but being in #menopause, this is really sinking in as I navigate the #healthsystem: no awareness, diagnoses, or treatments for most (some painful and scary) ailments.

What began as a crisis of resources now risks becoming a crisis of direction for global health governance.

My latest op-ed argues for the World Health Assembly to initiate a time-bound, member state-led process to unify fragmented global health architecture reforms.

Demokratie: Sind wir Pseudodemokraten? Theoretisch mögen die meisten Menschen die Demokratie. Praktisch wählen viele von ihnen autoritäre Populisten. Wie die Forschung diesen Widerspruch erklärt

A research in context panel from the article, which reads:
Added value of this study
This study combined retrospective data and projections for the near future, up to 2030, across a broader set of countries, especially those most vulnerable to ODA shocks, to fully understand the effects of international cooperation and its potential fluctuations on mortality amidst the ODA funding crisis. Our models forecast an additional 22·6 million deaths across all ages, including 5·4 million deaths in children younger than 5 years, by 2030, under a severe defunding scenario; even under a mild defunding scenario, the projected number of excess deaths by 2030 is 9·4 million across all ages and 2·5 million among children younger than 5 years.
Implications of all the available evidence
Sudden and severe reductions in ODA funding could have catastrophic consequences, with a potential global death toll comparable to—or even exceeding—that of the COVID-19 pandemic. Even modest defunding that simply extends current downward trends is likely to lead to sharp increases in preventable adult and child mortality, potentially resulting in tens of millions of excess deaths in the coming years.
