Did some reworking on the poster image I've been working on. Being able to import and manipulate .obj files is a game changer in Clip. I should have taken advantage of WAY sooner. (The staves on the henchmen are much more uniform now.) Lots more to do yet.

Is there any justification for DC Comics to have never put out an Art of Curt Swan book? He spent decades being a definitive artist on one of the most recognizable characters in history. You'd think that would warrant some flowers. Are reprint collections really enough?

This month marks 100 years since the Church Hill tunnel collapse. The incident spawned the local urban legend of the Vampire of Hollywood Cemetery here in RVA. Goth kids have spent a lot of time over the decades outside WW Pool's mausoleum because of the story.

Colored a sketch of Admiral Ackbar using risograph shaders. May need to find/make some more graphic style drawins to be able to really push the effect more. It's been refreshing to draw for absolutely no reason again.

We got lost on the grounds of Balmoral. Ended up trespassing through a private property and emerging outside the gates and asking to be let back in. The kindly worker exclaimed "impressive" when hearing our mishap. 50k+ acres and we still ended up off reservation. Fantastic hike though.

Turns out the hotel we stayed in this past weekend is on the historical register, it was originally the General Post Office before becoming the Tariff Administration building. (Now a swank hotel)

I didn't try the house phone just to preserve the illusion of the time warp.

Have you ever checked into a hotel before and wondered why they didn't throw you out? I feel like I'm too white trash for this place.

A sheep with a Salvador Dali mustache and a black eye. No it never made sense as the mascot for a company called Hand Turkey Studios. No we didn't even have the pretense of an explanation. It wasn't supposed to be the permanent logo, but it stuck. Who were we to argue? We were in our 20's. I miss not being tired.

Test driving the @truegrittexture.bsky.social Risograph brushes with the logo drawing from my old studio's logo. It was kind of a headtrip for me when I realized how long ago now I drew this (Over 20 years ago now, my son was still a toddler.)

Black and white ink style drawing of Zuckuss the Gand Findsman from The Empire Strikes Back. Often

Doop from Marvel Comics X-Men line. He's smiling and swinging an axe. He's like a homicidal booger that speaks in a made up font on the page, and his power set isn't very clear. The weird X-Men have always been some of my favorites. (Though this guy is from the early '00s so I still consider him "new". I'm aging/decaying at a rapid clip it appears.)

Shin Kamen Rider. Done using a cool old school cmyk dot style coloring halftones from True Grit Texture Supply. The reference for this was also my son in a cosplay kit he made himself.

A black and white ink style drawing done of a busker I saw playing an accordian in Central Park a few years back during a trip. Nobody was really paying him much mind, but it felt like a cool shot when I saw it.
