Next up I'm tracing and cutting out the pieces, preparing to actually start the sewing process. Made some test pieces to figure out the proper seam to stitch the pieces together. It's a plain seam with top stitches.

25.10.2025 15:29 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0First I'm removing the old paint with a paint stripper. It was a labour intensive task. After a second round of paint stripper, and leaving it on longer it went much better. The idea is to keep the bare steel as is. I like the industrial look.

Project: Restoring an old Håg Capisco. The chair was Designed by the legend Peter Opsvik to "invite the user to assume the greatest number of sitting postures". I really love this chair. But it's not in great condition anymore. I want to replace the foam, fabric, wheels and remove the old paint.
